Giorno 20 dicembre 2012, alle ore 16.00, il Dirigente Scolastico ha aperto la 5a Edizione dei “Giochi sotto l’Albero” con la consegna dei gagliardetti ai tre capisquadra: Giovanni Piemontese per la squadra dei Taglialegna, Michele Sterlacci per gli Zampognari, Francesco Menonna per i Panettieri.
Mercoledì 19 dicembre è avvenuta, per estrazione, l’assegnazione dei partecipanti alle tre squadre, le cui denominazioni si ispirano ai personaggi del Presepe.
Questa Edizione ha previsto una serie di 10 giochi:

Ad ogni gara i premi sono stati assegnati con tale procedura:
3 premi alla squadra vincitrice – 2 premi alla squadra giunta seconda – 1 premio alla squadra terza.
Il caposquadra acquisiva i premi pescando uno o più numeri dall’Albero dei giochi recante 59 premi numerati. Inoltre l’Albero portava una serie di 30 doni, premi aggiuntivi che sono stati attribuiti in base alla figura scoperta sull’albero (Convittore = 0, Istitutore = 1, Coordinatore Convitto = tiro proibito, Preside = 3, Ministro della P.I. = 4)
La squadra che, alle fine dei giochi, ha ottenuto il maggior punteggio è stata quella degli Zampognari, capeggiata da Sterlacci, che è stata dichiarata “Squadra vincitrice della 5° Edizione dei Giochi sotto l’Albero”. Ad essa è stato consegnato un premio finale consistente in un “cesto natalizio”.

Pranzo degli auguri

un pranzo tradizionale con la partecipazione del Dirigente Scolastico, prof. Giuseppe De Cato, e dei suoi più stretti collaboratori, di tutti gli Istitutori: un’occasione per congedarci prima delle festività ed augurarci un Buon Natale ed un Felice Anno Nuovo.
A fine pranzo la consegna, da parte della redazione del giornale, del numero di Natale de “Il Mosaico” e dal parte del gruppo del laboratorio tecnico-pratico, del Calendario del Convitto, anno 2013.
Un grazie di cuore a tutto lo staff di cucina diretto dai tre cuochi, Ottavio Delle Vergini, Annamaria Scarano e Salvatore Californi; al guardarobiere Siena M. e a tutti i collaboratori scolastici, in particolare, D’Errico A., Nardella P., Pacilli A. per l’allestimento della Sala e del Salone dei giochi.

Peer Education 2012-13

Il 12 e 13 dicembre 2012, presso la Sala Conferenze del Convitto, si sono svolte le attività di formazione della PEER EDUCATION per l’anno scolastico 2012-2013. Il team promotore del progetto, diretto dalla dr.ssa Concetta De Nucci, coadiuvata dalla dr.ssa Anna D’Andretta e dalla prof.ssa M. Antonietta D’Amico, ha coinvolto una rappresentanza di 10 alunni per ciascun Istituto Superiore partecipante e i rispettivi docenti referenti per l’Educazione alla salute. Gli Istituti partecipanti: il Liceo Scientifico “Checchia Rispoli”, il liceo Classico “M. Tondi”, l’ITE “Fraccacreta”, il Polo Tecnologico “Minuziano, Di Sangro, Alberti, l’IISS “Pestalozzi”, di San Severo, l’IISS “Fiani-Leccisotti” di Torremaggiore, l’IISS “De Rogatis-Fioritto” di S. Nicandro G.co e l’IISS “Federico II” di Apricena.
Queste attività, fondate su un tipo di apprendimento allo stesso tempo interattivo e partecipativo, si propongono di promuovere il benessere degli adolescenti a scuola, ma anche fuori dei suoi confini, aiutandoli a sviluppare un senso critico sui comportamenti che possono ostacolare il proprio benessere fisico, psicologico e sociale e una buona qualità della vita, diventando strumenti di prevenzione anche nei confronti di situazioni di disagio.
Da quasi dieci anni le attività della Peer Education vedono impegnati in modo sempre più coinvolgente numerosi studenti delle scuole superiori non solo di San Severo, ma anche di centri limitrofi quali Torremaggiore, Apricena e Sannicandro: in questi anni i ragazzi, che hanno partecipato a tali attività, hanno animato Assemblee di Istituto e Giornate della Creatività, hanno svolto attività di accoglienza nelle loro scuole, hanno rappresentato per alunni e anche per gli insegnanti un punto di riferimento per la risoluzione di problemi o semplicemente una collaborazione attiva e creativa di fronte a situazioni inedite.

Convittore mese ottobre

Anche quest’anno gli Istitutori hanno dato inizio alla pubblicazione delle graduatorie di merito.Con esse si individuano i convittori che, nell’arco di ciascun mese, si sono distinti per comportamento corretto, applicazione allo studio, partecipazione alle attività convittuali. La prima di quest’anno, quella relativa al mese di ottobre, riporta tra i primi 5 i seguenti nominativi: Menonna Francesco, Iorio Francesco, Lepore Antonio, Saccone Vincenzo e Di Nunzio Michele.
Pertanto il convittore del mese di ottobre è risultato Menonna Francesco che ha celebrato il suo Free-day giorno 14 novembre, dopo aver presentato il suo piano di attività per la giornata al Coordinatore, il suo menu preferito (a base di pesce)al cuoco ed aver designato come suo commensale Finizio Vincenzo.
