Torneo interprovinciale di taekwondo

A Bari si è svolto il torneo interprovinciale di Taekwondo.


Il convittore Francesco Di Fiore, che da diversi anni pratica questo sport, vi ha partecipato classificandosi al 1° posto nella categoria +78 kg.
Questa medaglia d’oro si va ad aggiungere a tanti altri successi che Francesco sta collezionando da qualche anno a questa parte.

Cos’è questo sport praticato da Di Fiore?
Innanzi tutto va chiarito che la parola Taekwondo, composta da Tae = Calciare saltando, Kwon = Pugni, Do = Arte, in sostanza sta a significare “Arte di tirare calci in volo e colpire di pugno”.
L’attività fisica è imperniata soprattutto a sviluppare alcune doti fondamentali come la velocità, l'agilità, la coordinazione nei movimenti, il controllo della respirazione, la scelta dei tempi e l’acquisizione di tecniche opportune.
Il combattimento, in genere avviene in tre riprese (o round) da tre minuti ciascuno o da due minuti ciascuno (dipende dal tipo di gara), con una pausa. L'atleta per fare punti deve colpire l'avversario sul corpetto con tecniche di calcio e pugno (1 punto), oppure al viso con una tecnica di calcio (2 punti) o (3 punti) se il colpo è ben assestato.
Come tutte le arti marziali orientali si fonda su una filosofia che si ispira ad un profondo sentimento etico.
L’allievo segue un percorso formativo per costruire un carattere nobile: comportarsi con sincerità, giustizia e umanità; rispettare ed onorare i più anziani; seguire l’integrità e la Verità, e riconoscere i propri errori quando si è fallaci. Questo percorso è scandito dai colori delle cinture; ogni colore rappresenta uno stadio del percorso, sia fisico che psichico-spirituale, raggiunto sino a quel momento dall’allievo:
Bianca (i principianti);
Bianca superiore (a rappresentare l'ingenuità dell'allievo verso quest'arte);
Gialla (rappresenta la terra, dove la pianta, l'allievo, mette le sue radici);
Verde (la pianta inizia a germogliare, l'arte comincia a svilupparsi nell'allievo);
Blu (la pianta ormai è cresciuta ed è rivolta verso il cielo);
Rossa (rappresenta il tramonto di una giornata, per l'allievo la fine di un tipo di allenamento, è anche un segnale di pericolo, le tecniche possono diventare pericolose e diventa indispensabile l'autocontrollo);
Nera (racchiude tutti i colori precedenti e rappresenta anche l'impenetrabilità alla paura, alle tentazioni e al male).
