Delegazione turca in Convitto

Una delegazione della Turchia composta dagli insegnanti Ayçin Girgin, Ayse Berna Çalis, Gülsen Sever, Celile Küçüker, Güler Güllü, Serhan Güllü, Erkan Erol, Metin Karasu, è stata ospitata in Convitto da domenica 7 aprile a domenica 14 aprile.
Durante il loro soggiorno gli insegnanti hanno avuto modo di conoscere la cucina italiana gustando alcuni piati tipici preparati dagli chef del Convitto, Delle Vergini Ottavio, Californi Salvatore e Scarano Annamaria. Tutto il personale, in particolare i collaboratori scolastici D’Errico Aldo e Nardella Pasquale, si è adoperato per rendere la loro permanenza la più serena e confortevole.
Lo scopo del soggiorno quello di promuovere un fruttuoso scambio culturale con tale Paese. Il Dirigente Scolastico, prof. Giuseppe De Cato, promotore di questa iniziativa, è sicuro che tutto ciò ha contribuito, tra l’altro, ad accrescere il bagaglio culturale degli studenti, che hanno potuto confrontarsi con insegnanti di un altro territorio.
Prima tappa del programma l’incontro con il sindaco di San Severo, Gianfranco Savino, che li ha omaggiati consegnando loro un gagliardetto e delle medaglie a ricordo della città. Gli insegnanti hanno ricambiato donando agli amministratori una confezione di dolci tipici della Turchia. Successivamente la delegazione è stata accompagnata per un tour per le vie del centro storico con tappa al Museo dell’Alto Tavoliere e al Teatro “G. Verdi”.
Tra le iniziative poste in atto, due appuntamenti per un corso base di approccio reciproco alle lingue, italiana e turca. Inoltre gli studenti dell’indirizzo “Moda”, hanno permesso agli insegnanti stranieri di conoscere anche la moda italiana, mettendo in scena una vera e propria sfilata lungo la piscina dell’Istituto, in via Alfieri, sfilando con abiti disegnati dagli alunni. Gli insegnanti turchi, apprezzando l’iniziativa, si sono poi improvvisati accompagnatori, sfilando a bordo vasca con gli stessi studenti in un clima allegro e gioioso.
La delegazione turca ha anche avuto modo di visitare il nostro territorio con escursioni a Apricena, Sannicandro Garganico, Torre Mileto, Rodi Garganico, Peschici, San Giovanni Rotondo e Monte Sant'Angelo. Questo potrebbe consentire in futuro agli insegnanti turchi di promuovere viaggi di istruzione dei loro studenti alla scoperta del territorio Dauno.
